A mother and child are cast adrift on a boat, banished from their homeland. Twelve years later she creates a magical storm which brings her enemies, lost and bewildered onto the island where their villainous deeds are exposed. A parallel tale for the times we live in of love, deception and rebellion.
A teasing gender-bending feast for the senses from the all-female cast, with sea-shanties, special effects and some surprisingly adapted Shakespearean lyrics. A celebration of the spirit of romance and reconciliation. Following on from their outstanding success at the Skala Eressos Women’s festival in 2016, and their sell-out run at the Rose Playhouse in June 2017, Sea-change theatre bring their boldly comic adaption of Shakespeare’s final play L-Fest.
