L FEST 2017 it's nearly THAT time of year! QUESTIONS, QUESTIONS, QUESTIONS, SO HERE'S THE ANSWERS!
As we get closer and closer to L Fest weekend, you will undoubtedly have questions. If it is your first L Fest, then a great big warm L Fest hello to you and we hope you enjoy it as much as many others who come back year on year! We hope you will find the following FAQs helpful.
1. Are children allowed?
Yes! L Fest is one big family so we encourage you to bring yours with you. A child's ticket for this year is £30 which includes camping and access to our extended range of kids and family activities. See the L Fest Families section on the website. http://www.lfest.co.uk/l-fest-families/
2. Are dogs allowed?
Yes! This year we have a wider programme of events for you and your four legged friends. See the website for details of doggie day care, doggie workshops, dog stall, speed jumping competition and of course, the very popular Dog Show is back again this year! http://www.lfest.co.uk/dog-show/
3. Is there an accessible camping area?
Yes! This is conveniently situated close to everything going on. If you require accessible camping you must request entry to this site by emailing Jo at Crew@lfest.co.uk
4. Can we party through the night?
Unfortunately not! With our fabulous new site comes new rules. We are restricted to a loud music curfew of 11pm however don't worry if you want to keep dancing as we will continue into the night with a silent disco. If you've not been to one before, these are great fun!
5. Can we bring our own alcohol?
Yes you can, however these is a STRICTLY NO GLASS policy on the festival site. For the first time L Fest is happy to be providing the on-site bar so please note that if you buy your drinks from our very reasonable bar rather than the big commercial supermarket you will be helping to support your festival, and getting a nice cold pint!
6. Can I book a treatment?
Yes, the very popular 'Retreat' will be at L Fest once again and as with every year, appointment slots get booked up very fast, many before the festival begins. If you would like to treat yourself to a massage or treatment please email email@example.com to reserve your slot in advance. Further details are on http://www.lfest.co.uk/stalls-and-retreat/
7. I've heard there are hot tubs this year?
It's true grab your bikini - we are excited to have Wonderlandia providing hot tubs for this year and you can book a session for just you, you and a partner or you and a group of friends, or join in the solos tub! Please see the website for full details and the booking form. http://www.lfest.co.uk/stalls-and-retreat/
8. Can I park my car next to my tent?
Unfortunately no you can't! This is a contravention of our health and safety rules and is not allowed. Any cars parked in the camping area will be removed. However, don't worry about carrying all your equipment - on arrival at the campsite car park you will be met by friendly L Fest Crew with pink wheelbarrows, and new for this year, a quad bike with trailer so there will be plenty of help to get all your belongings over to your desired pitch.
9. Is there somewhere I can get access to a power supply?
Yes you can blow up your airbed, straighten your hair and charge your phone. We understand the important things in life! :)
10. Will there be access to a shower?
Yes! Unless you particularly want to go for the whole 'festival wet wipe' experience, we provide clean hot showers on site!
11. How much does it cost to park?
The cost to park for the weekend is £10 per car and £20 for a motor home or car with caravan payable in cash on arrival.
12. Where can I find out who's performing?
We are pleased to show case all our wonderful acts, so please check out our website for full artist event details. http://www.lfest.co.uk/l-fest-artists-2017/. The full timetable will be posted on the website next week so you can plan your weekend.
14. I'm coming on my own and getting nervous!
Well firstly there really is no need to feel nervous with so many other lovely solos on site. You will camp in a designated solos camping area and meet lots of new and very friendly faces in the solos welcome from 7pm Friday 21st. In the mean time make sure you join in on L fest solos facebook as there is lots of banter in this group and many friendships already being formed before we even get there https://www.facebook.com/groups/538857326146919/
15. I really need a lift, or could offer a spare seat in my car
We love to be green, so join our car share scheme! Request a lift or share your spare seats. Save the planet and your pocket! http://gocarshare.com/festival/l-fest
16. I have access issues and require to stay in accessible camping.
No problem, just drop an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and Jo will send you out a form to complete to reserve your spot. If you have any other accessibility issues please let us know in advance.
We think that's all for now, so you just sit back and relax whilst we hurry around like busy bees in the final weeks preparation. See you in the field!
