Camping
Camping is included in your festival ticket, just turn up & pitch up . Please read the rules below.
Don't fancy camping? Then for additional costs why not try glamping or head straight for the nearest hotel! The choice is yours!
caravans & campervans
You will be able to park your car near to where you camp or chose to park in one field an camp nearer the arena
Camper & Caravan area, we accept caravans and campers. There are no electric hook ups at Bodafon Farm, however most Caravans & Campers will last one weekend on their battery. We love to use renewable energy where we can and therefore suggest solar packs if you require an extra boost to your van, There are guidelines here: http://www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk/helpandadvice/technicalhelp/power/solar-power/
Fancy a caravan or motorhome, but dont own one? Then hire one and bring it with you.
glamping
Onsite yurts and bell tents. Got no tent, or need a little more luxury, then why not try glamping.
hotels
There are over 100 hotels within a 2 mile radius of Bodafon Farm so there really is something for everyone. We are currently speaking to a specific accessible hotel to offer transport from the station for wheel chair users and this hotel is set up to offer accessibility needs for all.
CAMPING RULES - At L Fest HQ, we try to be as relaxed as possible to ensure you have a good weekend. However, there are just a few ground rules we'd like you to be aware of for everyone's safety:
First come, first served. There are no set plots, but gates will not open until 1pm.
Don't overload. You can bring any size tent, but please try and be specific to the number of people camping to the berth tent
Live in vehicles. You cannot sleep in cars and all vans must be converted with official sleeping areas.
Dogs are allowed on leads, but owners must be responsible and clean up after them. L Fest is not liable for any dogs on site. We do have a dog show on Sunday morning and doggie day care which is very popular!
Cooking - You are permitted to use SMALL gas camping stoves and portable BBQ's off the floor. DO NOT take any cooking appliances or naked flames into your tent, porch or enclosed space. Only use in an open space and 3 meters away from any tents due to fire risks. CARBON MONOXIDE FROM COOKING ON GAS OR BBQS IN ENCLOSED SPACES CAN KILL. PLEASE SEE THIS WEBSITE FOR MORE DETAILS: https://www.campsites.co.uk/guides/camping-for-beginners/beware-carbon-monoxide-poisoning
Carpark - The carpark is near to the camping but should you need help the L Fest Crew are on hand to assist you with their pink wheel barrows.
Glamping - Everyone can use the glamping room (next to the 2 blocks of hot showers!) which has plug sockets for straighteners and hairdryers and mirrors!
Toilets - There are portable toilets on the campsite and within the arena and yes as always we will attempt to always have toilet roll!
Alcohol - You can bring your own alcohol onto site for use in the campsite, **but not into the farm arena and buildings themselves**. L Fest will also be providing our own bar. This will help the festival be sustainable so please support us and not the big commercial supermarkets and buy your alcohol at the festival. Glass is not permitted as this is farmland and many animals use this grass. Any glass bottles found will be siezed.
Food - We have a cafe and catering units onsite, local pubs and the town is within a mile.
Camping Zones
The camping zones are:
Standard - Arrive, Set up Camp, Enjoy! No motor vehicles in this area.
Family - We want little L Festers to enjoy the festival too, so we will have a specific area for families, so there is less late night noise and toys to play with!
Solo Club - Don't worry about coming on your own, the solos zone will welcome everyone. As one L Fester said in 2011, "you can come on your own and go home with 50 new friends"
Access Camping - Close access to the main arena, toilets within the camping area. There is wheelchair access to most events. The designated camping area is situated close to wheelchair accessible toilets and shower. Battery charging is available for electric scooters and wheelchairs.
Artists - Artists are encouraged to spend the whole weekend at the festival with us.
Our festival opens at 1pm on Friday 13th July, and the event finishes at midday on Monday 16th July 2018
At L Fest you know we like to go green - I am one of the only people who can actually do a green wash after all! Anyway we like to go eco green too and love having Resource Living at the festival with their solar powered fire engine for lighting all of our camp field with lovely colourful lights and charging electric wheel chairs/scooters. It looks great and good for the environment, everyone's a winner!
